Availability of GSO satellite internet, regardless of provider, is shown in the map. Change between a map of the max GSO satellite speeds and a map of the number of GSO satellite providers using the buttons at the bottom of the map.
Hexagons often lack color because an area has no known serviceable addresses, not because satellite signals don't reach it.
GSO (Geostationary) satellite internet comes from satellites 22,000 miles above the equator. At that distance a round trip takes more than half a second, so video calls and gaming are rough (if not impossible). Typical speeds are 25 to 100 Mbps, and most plans come with data caps.
GSO satellite was long the only choice in truly remote places. LEO services like Starlink now outperform it nearly everywhere.
GSO Satellite availability data comes primarily from the May 2026 release of the FCC's Broadband Data Collection program (representing ISPs' availability as of December 2025).
